An invitation to the 2022 ISODC International Conference

A letter from Dr. Joanne Preston, President of GMF Partner ISDOC:

The ISODC is known for its friendly, supportive conferences, and as president, I invite you to attend and share your knowledge and new ideas with us. This year’s hybrid conference will have people attending in person while others will participate through Zoom to present or listen.

This year’s theme is “Charting the Future: Navigating a World of Continuous Change.”

I invite you to get involved, especially students or individuals trying out new ideas for the first time. You will get lots of helpful suggestions and feedback informally to strengthen your project. This year our conference will help Benedictine University celebrate the 25th Anniversary of their Ph.D. program in ODC. There will be a special day on Saturday where speakers like David Cooperider will attend and give a presentation celebrating Peter Sorensen’s success with this program. Be there to celebrate and hear the excellent speakers that Benedictine is sharing with us.

If you join us in person, Eric Sanders is planning a local intervention for one full day to help an organization with strategic planning through an AI Summit. Anyone can be involved regardless of experience in consulting, and information will become available shortly.

Consider submitting a proposal for a workshop or paper either in person or by Zoom, letting everyone engage with your ideas throughout the conference. We will give several awards, and all attending individuals are qualified. Again, go to the website for further information.

We also invite our international members and affiliates to represent your nations, especially with our theme of continuous change. We know you have much to contribute, and our goal is to expand the international platform for OD&C worldwide continually. You all play a critical role here.

Here are some important dates:

  • Saturday, April 23, 2022, for Benedictine Celebration

  • Intervention meets the day before to be conducted either Sunday, April 24, or Monday, April 25, 2022

  • Conference paper presentations and workshops are April 26-28, 2022, with awards presented on April 28, 2022, at the end of the conference

Visit this link for updated information and registration.

Again, as president of ISDOC, I invite you to join us for this collaborative time on behalf of our board and the conference committee. Please share this invitation with your colleagues so we can all participate together in this unique opportunity.

See you there virtually or in person!

Joanne C. Preston, PhD
President, ISODC
Editor in Chief, ODJ
